Alex Jones Rushes To Cover His Ass

Glenn Beck has recently been going more insane. He's been losing sponsors over idiotic things he's saying, and the other day he even said there was a shadow government that's really doing everything sinister in America. It seems as though Glenn Beck is getting into that whole "anyone who disagrees with me is a part of it" thing.

Naturally with all the talk about shadow governments and secret communist conspiracies in Washington, someone pointed out the similiarities to Alex Jones. Oliver Willis over at mediamatters.org published a story that Glenn Beck is bringing conspiracy theories into the mainstream, and then goes on to talk about how nutty Alex Jones is.

Alex Jones responded by having an article about how Glenn Beck isn't like him and is just another government shill. The article then goes on to talk about basically the same things covered in the Obama deception, such as the whole "million man army" thing, then on to how Rahm Emanuel said that they're going to create a massive service forcing everyone to volunteer. Granted the video Alex Jones provides is cut up, no context is given, and it was said in mid-2006, but that doesn't matter.

It was basically the same old garbage from Jones which is played out, but what made me laugh most were the comments. They really go to show that these people are smart enough to uncover a massive conspiracy, but are not smart enough to avoid the classic infighting and name calling that destroys movements like theirs.

The comments essentially derail into calling everyone who disagrees a shill. This isn't atypical, but it's worth noting. Here are some of my favorites:

Yes, Glenn Beck listens to 4 hours of garbage every day just to steal what Alex Jones has to say. I guess these guys don't realize that Alex Jones steals nearly everything from everyone else. Even his Behomeian Grove investigation wasn't original, and his analysis originated from that utter moron Texe Marrs.

These guys are going to lead the revolution and be the heroes of the American way of life!

Waste more time, help less people

Just like the Zeitgeist Movement, the Alex Jones movement - or whatever they refer to themselves as - is just about as useless when it comes to actually doing anything, ever.

As I explained at the end of Zeitgeist: Addendum, the base platform of the entire movement is nothing but self-serving garbage and emotional masturbation.

The Alex Jones movement isn't that much different the video below is testament to that:

In this video we see young men wasting their time to impress Alex Jones enough so maybe they can win $1,000. I'm not against winning money, obviously, but I'd bet Ameros to doughnuts they don't spend nearly as much time helping their communities - in fact I'd bet more that they never help their communities.

Of course, Alex Jones tells them that spreading the world helps people. Does it really?

No.

Nobody gives a damn about stupid theories that the Federal Reserve is run by a secret cabal of Freemasons that meet anually at the Bohemian Grove to burn children.

They care that their gas costs a lot, that they have to worry about everything in their lives, that everything revolves around money.

Are my kids getting a good education?

Are they going to get gunned down at school?

Is my car going to break down?

Why is public transportation so crappy?

What if I get sick? What if my kids get sick? We can't pay for it.

I can't live on $7.50 per hour.

So on and so on.

Even if you somehow convince them that going back to the gold standard and getting rid of the federal government will cure all their ills and America will return to the heroic, capitalist utopia it never was - is still doesn't solve any of those problems above. Ever.

It also doesn't help to have some 16 year old kid telling you that you're sheeple because you've got more things to worry about than the Federal Reserve or who's farting in the UN right now.

I volunteer a lot, and when you actually help people, they'll actually listen. Jamming something down their throats and then calling them stupid if they don't believe you is one of the worst ways to gain a follower.

Blog launched!

Hey everyone! I've finally got my own blog. It's been the Internet rage for about 6 years now, and I've yet to jump on the bandwagon. Well, here I am, watch out world!

News - More Updates

My debunking of The Obama Deception is up.

If you haven't noticed I now have an Alex Jones section, and I also finally finished up Zeitgeist: Addendum, and I also have a lot of updates coming soon. I'm almost finished with a few more Alex Jones movies, and I plan on putting each one up as each is finished. I've managed to organize my time a bit better and can work on more for the site and get more up. I've basically extended my plan for the site to include pretty much every conspiracy theory I can - even ones that are real (such as COINTELPRO), basically to level the playing field or something like that.

There is no Carol in HR.

Anyway, in the mean time you can take a look at this clip from the show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, it reminds me of a lot of the conspiracies I talk about on my site:
